     The Consumer Electronics Show (also known as CES) is an annual trade show held in Las Vegas, NV each January. It is one of thousands of conventions and trade shows that take place in Las Vegas each year. CES rose from humble beginnings back in 1967 when it was held in New York City with about 100 exhibitors and 1,500 in attendance. Today CES draws crowds of hundreds of thousands of attendees each year to see 2,700 exhibitors in over 30 categories. The numbers only get bigger and bigger each year, and so does the show.
